FAQ

Common questions.

Everything you need to know before taking the assessment — or after.

How long does the assessment take?

Most people complete the 40 questions in 4–6 minutes. There is no time limit. Read each question carefully and answer based on your actual behavior, not your intended behavior.

Is the assessment really free?

Yes, completely. Investor Amp does not require an account, payment, or email address. You take the assessment and receive your full results immediately at no cost.

What data do you collect?

None. The assessment runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not stored, transmitted to a server, or associated with your identity in any way. We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate, anonymized usage data only (page views and milestone events). No personal data is collected or sold.

How are my results scored?

Each of the 40 questions maps to one of 8 investor dimensions. Questions are scored on a 0–5 basis per dimension (5 questions each), with each answer evaluated against a predefined scoring key that reflects the behavioral pattern the question is testing. Higher scores indicate stronger alignment with that dimension's adaptive pattern.

What are "compound" results?

Your top two and bottom two dimensions interact in specific ways that generate emergent patterns — not just individual strengths or weaknesses, but the combined behavioral architecture they create together. There are 28 unique compound pairings for both Compound Advantage and Fatal Risk profiles.

Should I answer based on what I do or what I think I should do?

Always answer based on what you actually do. The assessment is designed to surface real behavioral patterns, not aspirational ones. Honest answers produce accurate profiles; idealized answers produce flattering but useless ones.

Can I retake the assessment?

Yes. You can retake the assessment as many times as you like. If your behavioral patterns have changed over time, your profile should reflect that. Many investors find it useful to retake the assessment after a significant market event or after making a major investment decision.

Does this constitute financial advice?

No. Investor Amp is a behavioral diagnostic tool. It does not provide investment recommendations, financial planning guidance, or advice on any specific investment. Nothing in the assessment output should be construed as advice to buy, sell, or hold any asset.
